The team is currently working around the clock to have the club licensed according to the new requirement by the Federation of International Football Association (FIFA.) FIFA introduced a regulatory system that requires all football clubs across the world to be licensed for International football governance. Botswana Football Association availed an online registration platform using BFA Connect and teams in Botswana including Morupule Wanderers are now able to open accounts and register at premier league to second division. During an interview with the club Chairman, Robert Onkamile, he confirmed that Morupule Wanderers has activated a BFA connect account and is processing registrations for all its players online. “Upon completion of the registering process with FIFA, our players will be issued electronic cards for identification.” He said. Through the eye of enhanced technology, Wanderers aims for promoting the team brand to attract more supporters and sponsors. “A website has been developed and will be launched this year. Through this website we want to interact more with all our stakeholders. Furthermore, the club is at an advanced stage of concluding a business partnership with All Kasi clothing company. All Kasi requires that Wanderers supporters and sponsors purchase branded merchandise in large numbers which forms the basis of our partnership and associated benefits.” Said Onkamile On his final note, Onkamile pardoned the Debswana First Division North League which was scheduled to commence on 9 September 2017 for having been cancelled indefinitely and beyond the team’s control. “Our sincere apologies to all our supporters for this cancellation.” He said in conclusion.
