CONSULTANCY SERVICE FOR THE PREPARATION OF 5 YEAR SAFETY, HEALTH, ENVIRONMENTAL STRATEGY FOR MORUPULE COAL MINE- (MOR/47/23/07/05)
Morupule Coal Mine limited has recently completed a comprehensive 5-year business strategy dubbed #1-3-27 which will run from 2023 to 2027. Some of the key result areas (KRAs) of this business strategy to improve sustainability index and built resilience on sustainability risk. These will include the following elements:
· Safety performance
· Health performance
· Environmental performance
· Social performance
To systematically support this KRAs in the MCM Business strategy, the mine has taken a decision to prepare a comprehensive 5-year SHE Strategy for the mine.
The consultant is to carry out the following work:
1. Prepare 10-year Safety, Health and Environmental incidents at micro and macro level.
2. Prepare in-consultation with client SHE strategy.
3. Perform gap analysis on MCM SHE management system.
4. Identify opportunities for improving SHE performance.
5. Facilitate identification of critical control for MCM processes.
6. Prepare action plan for closing the Gap identified.
7. Engage all the relevant stakeholders within the Mine to capture their input.
8. Suggest some initiatives to improve SHE performances.
9. Prioritise with client improvement projects.
10. Identify SHE risk to the Business Strategy by department and come up with action plans.
11. Suggest SHE performance dashboards with lagging and leading indicators.
12. Suggest some KPI to be included in different functional areas to foster improved SHE performance.
