Supply Of Conveyor Belts – (MOR/42/23/06-13)

Morupule Coal Mine (MCM) started its operation in 1973 and has since expanded due to coal demand locally and abroad. Conveyors are an integral part of the mine operation as they enable the mine to deliver on its mandate. Morupule Coal Mine (MCM) has embarked on a strategy to increase its throughput by the year 2027. The strategy also seeks to reduce import bill by partnering with local suppliers to produce goods and services locally as part of efforts to encourage citizen economic empowerment and local industrialization. It is against this background that Morupule Coal Mine wishes to invite suppliers to assist with supply of conveyor belts to the mine for a period of 5 years.

 

            A preferred service provider will have to provide the following:

 

· Supply natural rubber conveyor of length 300m x 900mm, top cover 6.0mm and bottom cover 3.0mm, 3ply, class 500.

· Supply natural rubber conveyor of length 300m x 1050mm, top cover 6.0mm and bottom cover 3.0mm, 3ply, class 500.

· Supply natural rubber conveyor belt 750mm class 500/3 ply top cover 6.0mm and bottom cover 3.0mm, 3ply, class 500.

· Supply PVG/PVC Solid woven, fire-retardant conveyor of length 300m x 1050mm, 2mm top cover and 2mm bottom cover, Class 1250KN/m

· Supply PVG/PVC Solid woven, fire-retardant conveyor of length 300m x 1200mm, 2mm top cover and 2mm bottom cover, Class 1250KN/m

· Supply PVG/PVC Solid woven, fire-retardant conveyor of length 300m x 1350mm, 2mm top cover and 2mm bottom cover, Class 1250KN/m

· Supply PVG/PVC Solid woven, fire-retardant conveyor of length 300m x 1500mm, 2mm top cover and 2mm bottom cover, Class 1250KN/m

· All the belts to be supplied should be certified and accredited.

· All supplied conveyor belts should have tensile strength tested.

· The preferred supplier should be a local company.

· The preferred supplier should demonstrate to have enough stock holding capacity to shield conveyors against harsh weather conditions.

 

 

Tender documents will be shared with the Tenderer upon receiving proof of payment of a non-refundable fee of BWP250.00 each only on or before (To be mentioned)

A site visit will not be required for this site visit.

The closing date for the receipt of tender submissions shall be 19 July 2023 – 12:00noon. Tenders received after the closing date and time will not be considered.

 

Telegraphic, telephonic, telex, facsimile, or emailed submissions other than the one stated above will not be considered. Morupule Coal Mine reserves the right to reject or accept any submission and does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any portion of any tender. Acceptance thereof is not binding on the company until confirmed through official notification. The services pertaining to this tender shall be run under Morupule Coal Mine General Conditions of Service, details of which are in the tender documents.
